HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15-ee0154ng
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

On my Envy x360 i started getting software issues late 2023: My laptop got really slow and i couldnt open some programs such as the Explorer, MS Office or CMD. I also had the issue that i couldnt properly shutdown or restart my laptop: It would always just stay in the blue screen saying "shutting down" without actually shutting down, so i always had to forcefully shut it down.

I decided to take my laptop to a private service and they swapped my SSD for me, because they thought the issues came from bad cells in my SSD and my laptop was already 3 years old. On that fresh SSD i of course got a fresh installation of Windows 10.

Unfortunatly my above described issues all started to come back after using my laptop again. Since I got a fresh SSD i think my issues cant be operationg system or driver related. Does anyone have an idea what i could try to fix my problems?

Most folks think that because SSDs have no moving parts, they last forever!  They do not -- as you have discovered.  I have had to replace several SSDs in the PCs I support, so I can confirm that they generally last only a few years.

Hate to say this, but the symptoms DO sound like a failing drive -- again.

Is the SSD a 2.5 inch (like a small deck of cards) or an m.2 NVMe (like a stick of memory)?
