@Darryn4, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It sounds like your HP 14 laptop is getting power (since it's charging), but it won't turn on. Here are a few troubleshooting steps to help narrow it down:

Perform a Hard Reset

Unplug the charger and remove the battery (if it's removable).

Hold down the power button for about 15-30 seconds to drain any residual power.

Reconnect the charger and try powering it on again without the battery (if it’s removable).

Check for Display Issues

If the laptop seems to be powering on (e.g., you hear fans spinning or lights turning on), but there’s no display, it might be a screen issue.

Try connecting the laptop to an external monitor to see if you get a display.

Perform a Battery Check

If your laptop has a removable battery, try powering it on without the battery and just using the charger.

If it powers on without the battery, your battery might need replacing.

Listen for Beeps or Any Other Signs

Sometimes, laptops give beep codes to indicate hardware failure. If you hear any beeps, look up the specific beep pattern for your laptop.Let me knowif you hear any beeps or see any error codes.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
