Hi! 

my mother in laws laptop for a few months when it shuts down says windows preparing automatic update and gets to 30% and then says could not update. This is a long process too. When I’ve gone into the software centre and try updating windows 10 1909 this doesn’t seem to update. Does anyone know what to do?

We need to know the model number of the laptop and the version of Windows 10 it currently is running.


To find out the latter, enter "winver" (without the quotes) into the Search area and report back what the window shows.
