 Hi,

My hard disc crashed and had to be replaced by a new one. So I had to recover the system using recoverys dics obtained from HP customer support. After the recovery is done and at the final stage when the setup is preparting the laptop for first use, it shows welcome screen then logs off, it reboots and then again starts loading the recovery files as if recovering, instead of setting up the user.

I tried many times but same thing happens.

Please help me.

@mkansari Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the laptop will not boot after system recovery.

Please perform the one more time hard drive test and check.

1) Shutdown the computer.

2) Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears.

3) Press F2 once.

4) Go to Component test.

5) From the list, run the Hard Drive (extensive) test.

If the test is passed, please try one more time for recovery.

If the issue still persists, please contact our phone support and check for the support option.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

We are experiencing longer than expected wait times to reach an agent due to the CoViD-19 impact and there might have been issues in you getting the expected resolution on the issue.

Dear Sir, Thanks for your reply.

As you suggested, I tried contacting the customer support and created an online case (Case number 5050389016) on Jul 13, 2020. Till date I haven't received any response yet.

I appreciate if you can check on this.

Thanks,
