My laptop has not been working for the last couple of days due to hard drive failures. First, it started by randomly having to restart from a blue screen. Now, I can't even use my PC. I was able to test my memory and hard drive with a provided tool and my hard drive failed. The failure ID is: 9phhaf-9b4b3f-xd7w3g-60u603, and the product ID is: 4nd16ua#aba. It also says SMART check passed, but short DST: failed. Current version: 1.24.0.0-BIOS

Hi:
You will need to install a new hard drive and reinstall the operating system.
Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.
HP 15 Laptop PC (Intel)HP 15g Laptop PCHP 15q Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide
You may want to consider replacing the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a better performing 2.5" SATA solid state drive (SSD).
After you replace the drive, use another PC running Windows 7 64 bit or newer and the HP cloud recovery tool to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.
Here is an info link for how to use the cloud recovery tool...You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive to create the recovery drive with.
