Hi

My HP Pavilion has been crashing once a week and I'm working my way through possible options. When it crashes I get a blue screen with a message saying it ran into an error and is shutting down. I then get a black screen with a message along the lines of boot drive not found.

My question is about outdated drivers. I have the automatic updates option enabled  yet my Norton Security product has told me I have 21 outdated drivers. They are of course happy to fix this if I upgrade my subscription.

If I have the automatic updates option will my drivers automatically be updated? I'm not sure if the Norton notification is something valid to look into or if its a red herring. I 've attached two screenshots of the notification from Norton.

Thanks.Screenshot (1522).pngScreenshot (1523).png
