I recently changed out the old 2'5 HDD for a faster SSD and tried to download windows 10 on it, but when I try and boot from the usb, it would just show the HP logo, restart again and freeze on the HP logo.
I tried turning on legacy boot mode in the BIOS and loading the usb without the "(UEFI)" part in the boot options menu, and then the windows logo would show up for a few seconds, disappear and the HP logo would appear and it would restart a couple of times and then freeze at the HP logo.
The SSD is working properly, I tested it on my other pc.

Try re-creating your installation media again.
Check the attached PDF file below, download the Windows 10 ISO, use Rufus to create installation media with/for GPT partition scheme / UEFI (non CSM) target system.
or
Ensure BIOS settings are reset to default settings. Ensure UEFI mode is active (legacy mode disabled) .
Hope this helps ! Let me know how it goes.

Nope, didn't work.
^ this would show up for a second than It would go back to the HP logo, restart a few times and freeze again.
I do have another pc though, so would it be fine if i plugged the ssd into that pc first, install windows on the ssd and then try putting it in the laptop again?

Hello @Vodlex1
You could do this disk swapping but the message posted above had nothing to do with Windows 10 installation.
Did you follow my steps posted above (initially) ?
