Hi
i have a HP Pavilion 15 Notebook, and when it was powered off one time, I turned it back on and it wouldn’t go past the hp logo and the loading circle. I did a system diagnostics check and it said battery failure, so I purchased a new battery, only for my notebook to continue to be stuck on the hp logo page again so ran another diagnostics and now it says the battery is fine but the hard drive short dst check has failed. Is there anything I can do to fix this ? Hard drive smart check says passed.
Thank you.

Hi,
If the HDD has failed the short test, you will need to replace the drive and reinstall the OS. You could use an SSD which would give a boost to the performance of the notebook.
If you provide the exact model or product number of the PC we can take a look at how this is done.
Let me know,
David
