HP Envy
Microsoft Windows 11

My HP Envy never shuts down. When I select shut down it does for a second then starts up again. It seems to be the same issue that several other people have mentioned like in this thread https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/Shutdown-causes-reboot/td-p/629...

and https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/after-shut-down-laptop-automat...

and https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Video-Display-and-Touch/Unable-to-shutdown-Laptop-using-Shutd...

I have done the trouble shooter route and it showed no problems. I updated the system and there was no change. I updated to Win 11 (fresh clean install) but that changed nothing. I have followed all the usual advice like switched off the fast start up option. I did this:

Click and open the ‘Power options’.

Select the power plan according to your requirement and click on ‘Change plan settings’.

Click on ‘Change advanced power settings’.

In the power options windows, click on the button ‘Restore plan defaults’.

Click on ‘Apply’ and then ‘OK’ button.

And no change.

Can I get some help please?
