@pranita_13, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Try a Hard Reset

Unplug the charger and remove the battery (if possible).

Hold the power button for 15–20 seconds.

Plug in the charger only (leave battery out).

Try turning it on.

Check the Charger & Power Light

Plug in the charger and see if a light comes on near the charging port.

If no light, try a different charger or power outlet.

If light turns on but laptop doesn’t, battery or hardware may be bad.

Battery Issue (Since it shut off at 50%)

Battery may be faulty or dying.

Try to turn on the laptop with the charger plugged in.

If it only works with charger, you probably need a new battery.

Run HP Diagnostics

Press F2 when turning on the laptop.

Run the battery test and write down any error codes.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
