Your machine is an HP Notebook - 15-ay516tx, its specs

           https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05411415

It has minimum of RAM and slow HDD. Due to it has very little RAM, paging / swapping will make HDD working very hard to dead. Please use the following steps to make it runs better

   (a) Upgrade RAM, this will reduce paging/swapping, the following RAM is compatible (will run at 2133MHz)

                         https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct2k8g4sfs824a/ct11909752

   (b) Upgrade HDD to SSD using the following compatible SSD

                         https://www.crucial.com/ssd/mx500/ct1000mx500ssd1/ct11909767

You can do (a) first and leave (b) later.

Other option is to do re-install Windows 10, but it will slow down again.

Regards.
