I have an HP ENVY -15t - as100CTO and it just started leaking brown fluid, screen stays black, it has a high pitched buzzing sound and the fan goes on and off. There has never been anything spilled on my laptop and it has never been close to any type of liquid- EVER. I have never experienced a problem like this with any other type of laptop or notebook, no matter how old! Based on other people’s questions, it sounds like this is battery acid leaking. My warranty has run out and I’m not sure what to do. Is it worth trying to replace the battery? This seems very dangerous to have this battery leaking and/or trying to replace it. Can anyone offer advice that has experienced this problem? Thank you!!
