Product: HP EliteBook 850 G3 Base Model Notebook PC

I can’t log into my laptop as I have forgotten the newest password (I change it regularly and since I haven’t used it in a while, I don’t remember the last password I have used). It is an EliteBook 850.  How can I log into and change or recover the password.

Reset the Microsoft Account Password

If you remember the email address used to set up the laptop:

  1. Go to https://account.live.com/password/reset
  2. Follow the steps to reset the password.
  3. Use the new password on the login screen.
