At first my laptop kept shutting down when being unplugged, although it was 65%+ charged.
Later, it started showing an x on the battery icon and that it was 255% charged, that I managed to fix with uninstalling the drivers, thinking the problem was fixed.
A few days after that, my laptop shut does again when not being plugged in while having 65%+ of battery.
Now it's stuck on 84%, the battery isn't charging and I can't unplug as it keeps shutting down.
Should I try updating the BIOS?
My laptop is 2 years old, never had problems before.
Would be thankful if someone suggests what can be done,

Hi @IraF
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to help you with the charging issue
Please try these steps - HP Notebook PCs - Battery Does Not Power Notebook or Hold a Charge
If the issue still persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding this.
If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
Have a great day!
