Hi IT_WinSec,

I have been running the PC for a week now after having disabled the Fast startup and have had no instances of the random/repeat resets/reboots.

Do I just load the most recent drivers, or do they have to be downloaded sequentially?

I'll mark this post as "accepted as solution".

Many thanks for everyone that helped me with this problem.

Cheers,

HP now claims they have solved the issue with a BIOS update, Just don't know exactly how to identify the version.

There is a very recent one (F.07 from March 20th) for your computer so there is good hope the fix is included.

If you install it and re-enable Fast Startup and the issue is gone, could you please report back so that we get confirmation that it really is fixed.

People are using their precious remaining lifetime to try and help, so it is common courtesy to come back and tell what the solution eventually was even if you found it elsewhere. It is for the benefit of everyone.

Hi Jorkki,

Thanks for your reply - I have uploaded the most recent BIOS update from HP.

I've reinstated "fast start-up" and I'll continue to test to see whether this fixes the problem.

I'll report back to the forum in a week or so.

Many thanks for your help.
