The model of my laptop : HP Laptop 15-dy2792wm (7Z899UA).
Ths issue I'm having started just a couple days ago when suddenly my laptop stopped charging. (I have it plugged in 24/7) So I realized immediately before my charge dropped below zero. Regardless it hit 0% eventually and obviously. I removed the old battery and replaced it and it seemed to work fine, that is until it died very quickly. It was at 17% and the instructions on the new battery said to let it drop to 2% then fully charged it not sure why, but before I realized it, it had died or just black screened from about 15%.
It now only turns on when I continue to change the outlet with the charger.
I have a couple problems.
1. It says CMOS reset 502, which I found online I need to update my BIOS settings. (My laptop doesn't have a CMOS battery or I'm blind)
2. Regardless of whether the battery is in the laptop, when it turns on again after having to replug it. It buzzes and stays on only for about a minute.
I would like to know how I'm supposed to update BIOS without charge and why it did this in the first place, the charger doesn't appear to be damaged and the charger port plugs in fine. Battery and Charger have same wattage. I also tried doing a restore for some reason still didn't work. Went to home screen login for profile then black screens anytime it tries to go into the actual computer. It's completely fine loading a blue screen section with multiple buttons such as reinstall windows, advanced options, recovery, restore, etc.
Would downloading the BIOS update onto a file on a USB drive from another computer work? I can still access the administrative window to type commands from the blue screen options. Would it even be able to access such files if my computer can't turn on fully?

Thank you for your reply, I was able to make a recovery USB and successfully update the BIOS settings. Unfortunately I think I have a different problem.
The laptop still doesn't boot into windows and still shows CMOS reset 502. Although my laptop model doesn't appear to have a CMOS battery and BIOS is updated. The buzzing sound as well still not gone, I believe I'll just take the laptop to a professional soon to see if I can get it fixed. Again, thank you for your assistance.
