@shaverdi, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The message you're seeing "Visit www.hp.com/go/techcenter/startup" - typically appears when the system encounters a startup-related issue, often linked to hardware problems such as the hard drive, memory, or battery. Let's walk through some steps to help you diagnose and potentially resolve this.
Understand the Message
This message is part of HP's UEFI diagnostics system. It usually appears when the system fails to boot properly and is trying to guide you to troubleshooting resources.
HP PCs - Resolving diagnostic errors that are displayed during startup | HP® Support
Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
HP laptops come with built-in diagnostics tools. Here's how to run them:
- Turn off the laptop.
- Press the power button, then immediately press the Esc key repeatedly (about once per second) until the Startup Menu appears.
- Press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
- Run the System Tests, especially:
- Battery Test
- Hard Drive Test
- Memory Test
Battery Health Check
Since you mentioned the battery, here's how to check its condition:
- In the HP Diagnostics tool, run the Battery Test.
- Alternatively, you can use HP Support Assistant in Windows:
- Open HP Support Assistant.
- Go to Battery Check under the My Devices tab.
Additional Tips
- Check for loose connections if you're comfortable opening the laptop.
- Try a hard reset: Disconnect power, remove the battery (if removable), hold the power button for 15 seconds, then reconnect and power on.
- Update BIOS if the system boots intermittently.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
