@MHK77, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The message “Visit www.hp.com/go/techcenter/startup” typically appears when your HP laptop encounters a startup issue, often related to BIOS, hardware, or boot configuration problems. Here's how to troubleshoot and resolve it:

Perform a Hard Reset

This clears temporary hardware states and can fix minor startup issues.

  • Power off the laptop completely.
  • Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
  • Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power adapter (and battery), then try powering it on.

Check for Beep Codes or LED Blink Patterns

If your laptop doesn’t start, look for blinking lights or listen for beep sounds. These can indicate specific hardware issues.

Run HP Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI)

If the laptop powers on but doesn’t boot, run built-in diagnostics:

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Press Esc repeatedly, then press F2 to enter HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
  • Run System Tests (especially Memory and Hard Drive tests).

Reset BIOS to Defaults

Corrupted BIOS settings can cause startup issues.

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Press Esc repeatedly, then press F10 to enter BIOS Setup.
  • Press F9 to load defaults, then F10 to save and exit.

Attempt System Recovery

If diagnostics pass but Windows doesn’t load:

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Power it on and immediately press F11 repeatedly to enter HP Recovery Manager.
  • Follow on-screen instructions to recover the system.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
