Microsoft Windows 11

Hello guys,

After a recent Windows update or some other change, I realized that my laptop's screen cannot wake up from sleep or hibernate; it always shows a black screen.

The laptop boots normally from a complete shutdown. You can log in and use it as usual. However, when I close the lid and then open it back up, the keyboard wakes up because the lights are on, and the camera on the screen is working because there are two red lights indicating the camera is being used. But the screen remains black, no matter what I do. The only way to get out of this situation is to force shutdown and reboot. However, if I close the lid again, the problem recurs.

I have tried resetting the Power Options in Windows, reinstalling Windows, uninstalling and reinstalling the graphics driver, updating the BIOS, resetting the CMOS, and changing the lid close action to "do nothing," but the issue still persists.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi,

I have a similar problem on my Windows 11 HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15-eu1xxx AMD Ryzen 7 5825U with Radeon Graphics.

I don't have any problems when I open/close the lid, but my screen won't turn on after I sleep or hibernate the laptop for a long time, usually overnight. I can see the power camera buttons lights come on but the screen stays black. I have to force shutdown the computer using the power button and turn it on again, then it works. Do I follow the same procedure and use the same link to recover my laptop?

Thank you in advance
