Spectre X360 - 13-Ac039tu
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hello,

I have been having continual problems with my HP spectre laptop staying shut down.
No matter how I try to turn it off (putting into sleep, hibernate, shut down from the start menu or closing the lid, using the power button or even hard shut down) after exactly 5 seconds it will power back up again and only stays shut down once the battery has completely drained. If I just leave it on it cycles into sleep mode, then powers itself up again after 5 seconds until my battery is dead. It does this whether the laptop lid is opened or closed.

I have already tried a number of things to remedy this and nothing seems to work.

  • Everything is up to date.
  • I have turned off all the automatic restart settings.
  • I have updated the BIOS.
  • The power settings are all as they should be.
  • Fast start up is disabled.
  • Disabled hybrid sleep.
  • Disabled hybrid boot.

Any other suggestions for solving this would be much appreciated.

Thank you.
