I’ve a HP pavilion laptop. I plugged in an audio interface via usb yesterday and went onto that manufacturer website to download and install software for the audio interface. A blue screen appeared that says “your device ran into a problem and needs to restart. We’ll restart for you” it remained like this for about 10 mins then I switched laptop off and on. It is then stuck on a black screen saying “(HP logo) preparing automatic repair” and doesn’t go beyond this. I turn it off and on again and before it enters the blue/ black screen as mentioned, I press “esc” a few times to get to another black screen but it gives me the options of “startup menu then f1/f2/f9/f10/f11 options” I’ve tried a few and managed to get a system fast test a 2 part test and it says it’s passed both. Any ideas on what I need to do from here?

Thanks for the reply! I’m not very tech savvy, how would I go about step 1 is there something I need to purchase for the windows repair services or bring it to a technician to do this? Or certain settings/ buttons I’m able to access with the options available to me mentioned in my initial post? Thanks again!
