I reset my windows 10 hp laptop to delete files etc but then it comes up with choose operating system and goes black. I have googled so much and tried hard resets, system test passed components tests passed, and bios update. Now when I turn it on the computer screen sort of flashes from black to slightly less black. I am not tech savvy and don't know what else to do. I just want my laptop back!

You will need a 32 gb flash and the restore will have all the drivers.
If your system is not on the cloud then download windows 10 "iso" wth a 16gb flash drive from here
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
and you may need one or more drivers from here especially the cyberlink software.
Post back if having a problem.
You could also install windows 11 using rufus al described here

Something went wrong during the windows reset and there is not enough of the OS left to boot ujp.
Type ESC when powering up and see if disk and memory diagnostics pass. Possibly one of the bios options might be a "restore"
Please provide the Product ID or Model name for better assistance.

Your welcome, but what was it that worked? The cloud restore? The windows 10 ISO?
