It looks like you tried to install IRST drivers correctly but encountered a Windows error unfortunately.

If you have another usb drive (min. 8 GB is needed), install W11 installation media on it with Microsoft Media Creation Tool. Copy the F6 folder to it and try the installation again.

If you still have a problem, I suggest you use HP Cloud Recovery Tool to create a bootable recovery usb drive which restores the SSD to a factory state. Click this link for how to use the recovery tool. The article contains a video which may be helpful.

when you run the recovery software on another PC, you need to provide the product number (ProdID), which you can find on the back cover of the notebook.

One last time I'd like to thank Tk_srq and YourITBuddy for all you responses and help.  I had tried both HP system recovery, and Windows creation tool to no avail.  I also attempted to independently install both the storage drivers and wireless drivers also with no luck.  As you suggested today I again downloaded the files thru the HP system recovery using the product ID and also a fresh download of the  IRST (F6) storage drivers.  All my attempts to recover this machine failed.  I then replaced the PCIe NVMe SSD with a generic gen 4 solid state drive, and to my amazement and surprise the system was recovered.  Is it possible a virus locked the hard drive so I couldn't access?  I noticed when I tried to recover with the new SSD I got a message to disable secure boot in BIOS before attempting recovery and when I did I didn't get the supply bitlocker key.  I also noticed the entire time the recovery process went on the hard drive light on the side of the laptop was busy (flashing) with the new drive installed, the point being it was dark with the original SSD installed.  I didn't even need to install the drivers from the F6 folder.  YourITBuddy had also suggested I disable secure boot, and he also indicated even though the drive passed the test it could still be bad.  I appreciate all you guys did helping me with this problem   I will say this problem is solved.
