Hi, i got my brand new laptop today and i turned it on to start it up but i notice after it was setting up that it was randomly restarting so i decided to reset it which took two hours now its on but its stuck on a error saying "the computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, then restart the installation" but I've tried this a few times but the error is still coming up. Help please?

Yikes!

I have no idea what you mean by "reset it".

You should have left the laptop alone and let it do its thing.

 I just bought a new laptop too, and I turned it on and let it be until it got to the part where Cortana was asking me to do things.

I did leave it alone for it to do things but it kept randomly switching off every 2 minutes with no reason and when i actually got onto the actual thing to connect internet and etc, it kept switching off.

Since this laptop is brand new, if it was me, I would be returning it.

Not bothering with any of this asking on forum.

I would agree with @ieee488 -- in that a brand new PC should not be presenting with these kinds of problems -- and if it were mine, I too would take/send it back for a refund.  You need to have something that works, not fails.
