Hi @AK20191 ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Laptop PC 15s-Fq2000 (2D118AV) is not powering on, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are troubleshooting steps you can follow:
Check Power Source:
- Ensure that the laptop is connected to a working power source.
- Check the power adapter and make sure it is plugged into a functioning power outlet. Try using a different outlet.
Power Adapter and Cable:
- Inspect the power adapter for any damage. If you notice any issues, consider replacing the power adapter.
- Check the power cable for any signs of damage. If it's damaged, replace it with a new one.
Battery Check:
- If your laptop has a removable battery, try removing it and then reinserting it.
- If the battery is non-removable, press and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds. Then try turning the laptop on again.
External Devices:
- Disconnect all external devices (USB drives, external hard drives, etc.) from the laptop.
- Sometimes, a faulty external device can cause the laptop not to power on.
Memory (RAM) Check:
- Reseating the RAM modules might help. If you are comfortable doing so, power off the laptop, remove the back panel, and reseat the RAM modules.
BIOS/UEFI Reset:
- Some laptops have a BIOS/UEFI reset button. Consult your laptop's manual to locate it and try performing a reset.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.-
