Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • The exact model of your HP laptop.
  • Whether you see any error codes or messages during the recovery loop.
  • Did the reset you performed involve a “Keep my files” option or a “Remove everything” option?

 Suggested Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Perform a Hard Reset
    • Power off the laptop completely.
    • Disconnect all external devices
    • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds, then restart.
  2. Access Advanced Startup Options
    • Turn on the laptop and immediately press F11 repeatedly.
    • From the recovery menu, try Startup Repair or System Restore if available.
  3. Boot into Safe Mode
    • From the recovery options, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
    • After restart, press 4 or F4 to boot into Safe Mode.
    • If successful, you can uninstall the last update or driver that may be causing the loop.
  4. Use a Windows 11 Installation Media (Kindly ensure data is backed up before opting this option)
    • If you have access to another PC, download the Windows 11 installation tool from Microsoft and create a bootable USB.
    • Boot your HP laptop from this USB and choose Repair your computer to attempt recovery.
  5. Check BIOS Settings
  • Restart and press F10 to enter BIOS.
  • Ensure the boot order is correct and Secure Boot is enabled.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for your advice. Unfortunately nothing suggested works. The HP Model is HP 15-eh0002SA. The error message shown was 0xc0000001.  I was given an option to ‘keep all my files’ or to ‘clear everything’ during the reset which I undertook in an attempt to resolve the issue and I chose to keep my files. Unfortunately the reset  did not work and the laptop went back to the Recovery Loop. Before the laptop closed down initially Windows 11 had started an unauthorised update which was almost complete during which a Driver Update of 7 Drivers was also taking place! I don’t think this completed when the laptop shutdown after the upgrade. Is there something can be done via the COMMAND PROMPT to resolve this issue. Thank you Dustymil

 Hi @Dustymil,

Thanks for your response. It looks like you’re still having issue with the unit.

The error code 0xc0000001 typically indicates corrupted system files or boot configuration data, which can occur if Windows or driver updates are interrupted. Since the reset option to keep your files was unsuccessful, To get you the best assistance, we need to take this conversation to a private chat.
