@galanrivas, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
We see that you're locked out of your HP laptop because it's not recognizing your login credentials. Let's narrow this down and get you back in. Here are a few questions first to better tailor the solution:

  1. What version of Windows are you running? (Windows 10, 11, etc.)
  2. Are you using a local account or Microsoft account to log in?
  3. What error message are you seeing exactly? ("Incorrect password," "Something happened and your PIN isn't available," etc.)
  4. Have you recently changed your password, updated Windows, or made any major system changes?

In the meantime, here are some general steps you can try:

If you're using a Microsoft account

  • Make sure you’re connected to the internet.
  • Go to https://account.live.com/password/reset on another device and reset your Microsoft password.
  • After resetting it, go back to your laptop and try signing in with the new password.

If it's a local account

  • Try typing your password carefully — especially if you used Shift or Caps Lock incorrectly.
  • If you see a "Reset password" link, click it and use your password reset disk if you made one earlier.

If it's a PIN issue

If the error says something like "Something happened and your PIN isn't available":

  • Click “Sign-in options” under the password field.
  • Select password instead of PIN.
  • Once logged in, go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options and reset your PIN.

Try Safe Mode

If nothing else works, you can try restarting in Safe Mode and enabling the built-in Administrator account:

  • Hold Shift and click Restart from the login screen (power icon).
  • Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
  • Press F4 to boot into Safe Mode.
  • Once in Safe Mode, try logging in or use the hidden Administrator account to reset your main account’s password.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
