Hi @Karan00,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP Spectre 360 laptop. When a laptop won't turn on or show any signs of charging, there are several potential causes for this problem. Let's go through some troubleshooting steps to try and identify the issue.
- Check the power adapter and cable: Ensure that the power adapter is properly connected to both the laptop and a working power outlet. Sometimes, the cable might be damaged or loose, preventing the laptop from charging.
- Check for charging indicator: Some laptops have a charging indicator light. Check if there is any response from the laptop when it's connected to power. If there's no light or any other sign of charging, it could indicate a problem with the power supply or charging circuit.
- Try a different power outlet: The power outlet you were using may not be functioning correctly. Try connecting your laptop to a different outlet to see if it starts charging.
- Perform a hard reset: Sometimes, a hard reset can fix minor power-related issues. To do this, remove the power adapter and any other connected peripherals (like USB devices), then press and hold the power button for around 15 seconds. After that, try turning on the laptop again.
- Inspect the power adapter: Check the power adapter for any visible damage, such as frayed cables or a burnt smell. If you suspect the adapter is faulty, try using a compatible replacement adapter.
- Battery issues: The laptop battery might be depleted or faulty, preventing the laptop from turning on even when connected to power. If possible, try removing the battery and then connecting the laptop to power directly. If it turns on, the battery might be the issue.
- Check for signs of life: When you press the power button, listen for any sounds (such as fans spinning) or see if there's any response on the screen. If you hear sounds but the screen remains blank, it could indicate a display issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
