Hey all,

I purchased an HP Pavilion Plus (14-ew0001na Laptop - Core™ i5) in January to replace a 6-year-old, much less powerful Acer Swift but I'm having issues with intermittent latency.

With the upgrade, I expected a seriously fast PC and opted for the latest Plus version for my best bet - what I'm now faced with is moderate latency issues that - at times - make the laptop unusable. The mouse goes through phases of total laggy disobedience and the keyboard can be so slow that letters are completely omitted when a sentence is completed.

The latency issues get much worse whenever an update is pending and I make sure to check for updates each morning before use. It's just not something I expected or encountered at any point with my last, much lower-spec PC.

My partner purchased the exact same model at the same time and has exactly the same issues. We both use these for work so it's frustrating to start the day not knowing if we'll be able to type or not.

I suppose my question is - is this normal
