I don't seem to get any where with this as it keeps popping up every time at start up. I press F2, login and it's there next time! I have Windows Home so no bitlocker - is it ok to press F1?

Since you're using Windows Home and not BitLocker, the system isn’t relying on TPM for drive encryption, which simplifies the recovery path.
What the TPM alert means and how to resolve it
This message appears because the BIOS update triggered a change in TPM configuration. The system is waiting for confirmation to either:
- Clear and reset the TPM (F1): This erases stored TPM keys, which are typically used for BitLocker, secure boot, and other security features.
- Continue booting (F2): This bypasses the reset, but the system keeps prompting until the change is acknowledged.
Since you’re not using BitLocker and the system boots fine after pressing F2, it’s safe to press F1 to clear and reset the TPM. This will stop the message from appearing at every startup.
Before pressing F1
- Make sure you’re not using any TPM-dependent apps (e.g., fingerprint login, secure email certificates)
- If you're unsure, you can back up your data first as a precaution
- After pressing F1, Windows may reboot and reinitialize TPM automatically
Let me know how the system responds after clearing the TPM. If the message disappears and everything works normally, we can confirm the BIOS update is fully settled.

Yeah, pressing F1 did the job and I suppose it has completed the BIOS update. I have had to redo some checks with Microsoft and other apps but nothing beyond what I could safely manage.
