HP Chromebook 15-de0550nd
Chrome OS

I usually use my Chromebook in my house and I prefer not to disconnect the Chromebook from the power each time again and again, i would like to let it works on its own battery, so if I leave the Chromebook constantly plugged into the electricity, 24/7 (even if it's already fully charged), can this lead to more power consumption and does it possibly have adverse consequences with regard to the performance and life of the battery?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

To get the answer to this question, Leaving your laptop plugged in will not cause short term damage, but if you only ever use it on AC power you'll almost certainly find that after a year the battery's capacity has been significantly reduced. Similarly, if you only ever use it on battery power you'll get through the battery's discharge cycles quicker.
