Hi @Buddy04,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thanks for reaching out. We understand how frustrating it can be to be locked out of your HP Laptop PC 15s-fq2000, especially when you're unable to reset your password due to forgotten security question answers.

Let’s walk through your options to regain access:

If You Use a Microsoft Account (most common for Windows 10/11):

  1. Go to another device and visit the Recover your account.
  2. Follow the prompts to reset your Microsoft account password.
  3. Once reset, return to your laptop and log in with the new credentials.

Next Steps You Can Take:

Option 1: Use a Password Reset Disk

If you created a password reset disk earlier, you can use it now. If not, continue to the next option.

🔧 Option 2: Perform a Factory Reset (data will be erased)

If you cannot access the account at all and don’t have backup access:

  1. Turn off the laptop completely.
  2. Turn it back on and immediately press the F11 key repeatedly until recovery mode opens.
  3. Choose "Troubleshoot" > "Reset this PC".
  4. Select either Keep my files (if available) or Remove everything.

⚠️ Note: This will remove the user account and allow you to create a new one, but will also erase data if you select “Remove everything.”

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
