HP Notebook - 15-bs060wm

Apon turning on my HP Notebook, I came to a dark screen, so I ran a test on my memory with the UEFI and it passed. Then, a test on my drives when I received this:

Testing Drive: 1

SMART Check: PASSED

Long DST: FAILED

FAILURE ID: UC541R-8T6BRJ-XD7URG-61A303

Hard Drive 1

Current Version: 1.18.0.0 - BIOS

Your drive is failing.  Possibly the long drive causes the disk to heat up and fail whereas the SMART test runs too fast to heat up.  Just guessing.  You might want to download the free version of hard drive sentinel to get a better understanding of the problem.  For example, CRC can be caused by loose cabling.   Heat problems can be fixed using an air duster.

According to the spec your system has a 1TB HDD 5400 rpm

However, the manual shows the possibility of an M.2 SSD using an adapter to fit in the HDD slot.

pages 54, 55 and 56

I recommend you run the windows scandisk and try to fix the disk.  Then clone the drive to a new 1TB SSD such as WD Blue 1TB

If your system has that m.2 adapter then replace the ssd with another one.

To clone the old drive to the new one you will need a USB adapter to attach the new drive.  WD has free cloning software

Alternately, you can just put in the new drive and do a factory restore using HP cloud recovery.

I believe your product ID is 1KV13UA#aba, please verify.
