Product: HP Pavilion - 15z-cd000 CTO
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Pavilion laptop with Windows 10 Home.  I ran the PC Hardware Diagnostics Component Test. The Long Drive Self-Test failed - failure code U30AJ2-8R4C3F-MFPURF-61BH13 (short drive self - test passed).  I have no clue what this means.  Reason I ran the test was because after the latest windows update, Microsoft Excel and Word documents would not open (gave me errors). Please Help!

Sadly to say: Most of the time the 24 char disk failure id indicates the HDD is failing and it needs to be replaced.. Is it still under warranty ? If NOT, you have to replace yourself then rebuild your machine.

 

For (original) Windows 10/11. please use Cloud Recovery tools
