I have a HP Pavilion dv5t-2000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC with an OS that's updated Windows 10 build 19041 and I'm trying to update its BIOS. The current BIOS values are:
The BIOS update page has a few options. Going through the Device Manager, but there is no Firmware option there:
Then I installed the HP Support Assistant and checked for updates but nothing was found:
Now I'm trying to manually install from Windows. I've been to the Product Web Page and it's completely empty so I'm not sure how to figure out what version of BIOS is compatible with my machine. So now I'm out of ideas on how to update the BIOS.

Hi:
HP retires support for PCs that are 10 or more years old which is why you cannot find any info on your notebook from HP anymore.
F.27 was the last BIOS update HP released for your notebook, so you are good to go in that department.

What device listed under the Other Devices category in your screenshot is it that needs a driver?
If you post the hardware ID for it, I will see if I can find the driver it needs.
Use this guide to find that information...

Hi Paul,
F.27 doesn't appear to be supported for Windows 10. Is there anyway I can update the BIOS to a version that's compatible with my OS and machine? I'm trying to update BIOS because I believe it's been causing BSODs ever since I upgraded Windows.
The Hardware Id of the Unknown Device is "ACPI\VEN_HPQ&DEV_0004". I looked for a driver for it but I've ran into the same issue with the BIOS: finding compatible software for my OS/machine combination.

Hi:
Your screenshot shows that you already have BIOS vF.27 installed, and as I replied earlier, that was the last BIOS update HP released for your notebook.
So, no other BIOS updates are available for your notebook.
You need this driver for the ACPI\VEN_HPQ&DEV_0004:
This package provides the HP 3D DriveGuard software for supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. HP 3D DriveGuard protects the hard drive by "parking the heads" if the notebook is accidentally dropped or is abruptly impacted by another object.
