Some days ago, I updated Windows 11 in settings. After the update, there were some problems like auto wifi disconnecting, etc. Some games started crashing after the update. So I reinstalled Windows. I clicked 'Keep my files and apps'. But unfortunately it deleted all my apps, but my files were not deleted. After this, some problems got fixed. But my Microsoft Office 2021 was uninstalled (license is gone). The license came preinstalled with the laptop. So even after I signed in using my Microsoft account (when I bought this laptop), it was not added to my account. So I lost my license. I didn't get a license code with the box either. I dont know what to do now. I don't have the money to buy another subscription to it. Is there any way to solve it? If there is a solution for this, please tell me. I use Microsoft Office daily, so I need it urgently. Thank You

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Lost microsoft office license!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It sounds like your Microsoft Office license was a preinstalled OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) version that wasn't linked to your Microsoft account. Here’s how you can try to recover it:
1. Check If Office License Is Embedded in BIOS
Since Office often comes preinstalled on new laptops, the license key might be embedded in the system firmware. To check:
- Open Command Prompt (Win + R → type cmd → Enter).
- Run this command: wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey
- If a product key appears, you can use it to activate Office.
2. Check If Office License Is Linked to Your Microsoft Account
Even though you said it wasn’t added, double-check:
- Visit Microsoft Services & Subscriptions.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account you used when setting up the laptop.
- If Office appears, click Install to reinstall and activate.
