4HC27EA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello Team.

I have strange problem with laptop Pavilion 15-bc408ur 4HC27EA. When I attach Power Supply cable to DCIN of laptop the frequency on CPU goes down to minimal core speed 400 MHz. CPU is i5-8250U with multiplier 4-34, bus speed 100 MHz. But without PSU core speed raises up to floately high speed: 1.0-3.4 GHz!

BIOS version is F.21 Rev.A. Recovery Windows 10 is original, reinstalled well, all drivers are latest. Moreover, with non-HP licensed OS Windows 10 the CPU Core Speed is nornal 1.0-3.4 GHz.

Maybe drivers of original recovery or driver pack are corrupt or hardware of laptop has bad components.

Please help.

Best regards, Dmitry.

Hello Team, again.

I found my mistake: it happened by low-powered PSU 65W instead of its own 120W one.

The problem has been self-resolved 🙂

Best regards, Dmitry.
