Low Memory, but no programs installed

I inherited this computer from my daughter. I'm a Mac lover myself. There are no programs installed except what came with the computer. I have defragged (16 hours,) cleaned, blah blah, blah, yet I still get Low Memory and I'm unable to update Windows, nor perform a reset because of the Low Memory.  Please help.

What you're describing is not due to Low Memory; instead, it is due to Low Disk Space.

In addition, I have found the utility Cleanmgr+ to have LOTS of options for removing Windows junk, including log files. I use it practically every day. You can get it from here: https://www.getclone.app/download/category/11-cleanmgr
