Ultrabook HP Pavilion 14-b080br
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

My notebook fell while it was on and kept working, but on the next day when I tried to turn it on it gave me a blue screen and restarted.

Used the HP tool to check for drive issues and it returned clean.

I tried using the recovery tool but it didn't work.

So I decided to reinstall windows 8.1, but the installation took forever between screens (10 minutes minimum) and returned an error that said files were missing and the installation could not proceed. Then I created a second bootable usb and the error continued.

Then I deleted all the partitions on the PC  and tried reinstalling, but got the same error as before. When I tried  again all the partition were gone except one of 8gb.

Is there anyway to fix it or should I just give up and buy a new Hard Drive?

Thanks for any help 😀

Laptop hard drives are not made to survive such accidents -- and I am surprised your laptop even still works at all.

The "taking forever" on the part of the restore is a clear indication of hardware failures in the drive, as it it trying over and over and over to write a sector and then timing out.

You need to replace the drive.
