Today, my HP Victus 15-fa1000 (771S5AV) with Windows 11 Pro received 24H2 via Windows Update. Update completed successfully, but I'm experiencing some major issues now:
- After I login with my password, there's a black screen for for about 2-3 minutes. Only after this period the desktop appears.
- When I open File Explorer and try to enter a folder or drive, I see the the loading icon indefinitely and it is stuck like that.
- HP Support Assistant is not working anymore. When I click its icon, I see the welcome screen for sometime, afterwards it closes automatically.
What I tried:
- I downloaded and installed all the 24H2 drivers from the HP support page of my model.
- After installing 24H2 I ran Windows Update again and it received a BIOS update and updated the BIOS.
- I ran SCF and DISM commands.
- I started the system in safe mode, and didn't experience the problems I listed above. so maybe it's a driver problem.
