HP Notebook - 15-ac023ds
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

While solving a problem with HP Support Assistant (which I fixed, so it is AOK), I noticed that when I go to the HP Support website and it comes up with a list of available software/driver downloads specifically for my machine, that there are two different updates listed for the HP Recovery Manager software.

One is from Jan 2016 and is version 2.00 Rev.A, and the second is from July 2017 and is version 18.10 Rev.A (these are available for manual download and installation for my HP Notebook model 15-ac023ds).

However, the the HP Recovery Manager software I currently have on my notebook is showing as version 1.2.1510

So, I am totally confused. Is my software out of date? Why didn't updates come through HP Support Assistant if my HP Recovery Manager software is out of date?

Do I need to manually download the HP Recovery Manager updates from website and install them? If so, do I need to install both of them, in order? If they are not for my Notebook, then why are they even showing up on the list?

I would really appreciate some clarity on this issue. Thanks in advance for your assistance!

HP SA doesn't always offer non-critical updates. However the Jul 17, 2017 update for Recovery Manager is somewhat important  if you want to reinstall any drivers after Windows 10 is updated with Creators Update . CU disables being able to reinstall drivers via Recovery Manager unless you update to this version. (no need to get the earlier version)
