HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-es1000 RCTO Base Model

Does anyone know how I can find out what the maximum amount of RAM is that I can install on my laptop? I have the HP Envy x360 15-es1xxx currently with 16GB of RAM installed. I'd like to upgrade it, if possible, but I cannot find any information on it. Maybe I'm totally overlooking it, but if anyone else knows, I'd appreciate the help! Thanks.

Never mind... I found a thread on here that provided this information and it answered my question.

You can do this to see how much memory your notebook can support:

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.

This will open the command prompt.

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.

There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

Relying on the CMD method will cost you time and frustration.

It won't tell you if the compatible modules have to be the low voltage type or give you the CL (CAS latency), rank requirement of voltage requirement.

So, in the interests of not wasting  my or a member's valuable time, I prefer to use Crucial Memory and Kingston memory to see what guaranteed compatible memory they have to offer.

Their  established mainstream  memory manufacturer company's reputation is on the line when the guarantee that their memory will be compatible.
