McAfee Security

                                                                                                                                                                                      I just received my new HP laptop.  Quick question regarding Anti-Virus Security:  Does the laptop come with an anti-virus protection, or should I purchase the McAfee offer that just popped up for $250 annual (or whatever it was).  Just not sure if I'm duplicating what might already come with the laptop (which means I wouldn't need to purchase it).

Which security software you purchase and use is entirely up to you.

Considerations include your budget, your needs for security, your real and perceived level of risk.

Best read as much as you wish to and then decide.

Yes,

Some software is frightfully more expensive than other options.

If you do not want the notification - switch it off in Notifications.

If you don't want the software, you can get rid of it.
