Product: Notebook 15

So I forgot my login in my hp notebook 15 and I went to system recovery menu to reset it, but I need a media creation tool and it says it’s invalid so idk if I’m making the tool wrong or it’s my computer. Please help

To do a factory reset, you need to know your password -- and if you don't have that, we are not allowed to assist you in that.

 

Also, the Media Creation Tool is a Microsoft product.

 

If your PC is a 2016 model or newer, you should see if you can make a bootable USB recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool on a working PC.

The recovery drive can then be used to install Win10 and the HP drivers and utilities that originally came with your PC.
