Try these steps:

Ensure Microphone is Enabled:

  • Click the Recording tab.
  • Check if your microphone is listed and enabled. If not, right-click and select Enable.

Set Microphone as Default Device:

  • In the Recording tab, right-click your microphone and select Set as Default Device and Set as Default Communication Device.

Update or Reinstall Audio Drivers

  • Open Device Manager.
  • Expand the Sound, video and game controllers section.
  • Right-click on your audio device and select Update driver.

Test Microphone Using Windows Voice Recorder

  • Open the Windows Voice Recorder app.
  • Click or tap the microphone icon to start recording.
  • Speak into your microphone.
  • Stop the recording and play it back to check if it captures sound.

Privacy Settings for Microphone

  • Open Settings > Privacy > Microphone.
  • Ensure the Microphone access for this device is turned on.
  • Scroll down to ensure Allow apps to access your microphone is enabled.
  • Under Choose which Microsoft Store apps can access your microphone, ensure that Google Chrome is enabled.

Permissions in Google Chrome

  • Open Chrome and navigate to Settings.
  • Select Privacy and security > Site Settings.
  • Scroll down to Permissions and select Microphone.
  • Ensure that the microphone is selected correctly and sites are allowed to access your microphone.

Additional Measures

  • Open Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
  • Select Recording Audio and click Run the troubleshooter.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Open Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Click Check for updates to ensure your system is up-to-date.

I hope this helps.
