Product: HP EliteBook 840 Aero G8 Notebook PC IDS Base Model
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

The Windows 11 version 24h2 has been available in my software update dialog for some time.  However, I am unable install it.  Each time, I get Download Error.  I have attempted to do a System reset.  This has no affect either.

Try the standalone in-place upgrade by clicking on the blue W11 Installation assistant button (1st option) at the link below:
