After a Windows 10 update in the second week of January 2108 I got a notice stating that my accelerometer was not compatible with Windows 10 and so was disabled and that I should contact my computer manufacturer for an update.
After this I went to search on HP sites and fond instruction to remove the old/existing 3D Drive Guard from my computer and then reinstall the 3d Drive Guard from HP. I uninstalled the old one but can;t find the new one o any HP site.
I will note that after uninstalling the old one my computer os faster, smoother and the problems and issues that I was having have disappeard while using my preferred browser Firefox.
Please tell me where to find the 3D Drive Guard? I know it runs much better now but should I be concerned that the intended purpose of the missing 3D drive Guard is now gone?
Thank you for any assistance/replies.

You're very welcome. Happy to help. Windows update may break it again in the next major update...but hopefully there will not be another major for at least 6 months.

The software supposedly protects the hard drive by parking the heads if the notebook is accidentally dropped while running.
You can try this version:

It did install and my Control Panel shows it's there with no dialogue boxes or slowdown/issues upon installation so it seems fine initially . . . Thank you so much and I hope this is a longterm fix and the next Windows 10 dumpdates don't crate new issues. *smile*
