HP PROBOOK 645 G3
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello,

I am getting a "Other Device" in my Device Manager and unable to find a driver to resolve this issue. I have posted a screenshot. Please let me know if there is a driver out there that would suffice this unknown device.

Hi,

This should be the driver you are looking for:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-probook-645-g3-notebook-pc/11623682/sw...

Install and reboot PC.

Hope it helps,

David

Unfortunately, that didn't help. I installed and completed a reboot but the Unknown device still exist. I tried uploading it the device itself but since its an .exe file, it couldn't find the driver. Any other suggestions?

Hi, @PUNISHER707

The driver that iomare posted should have worked.

If you take a look at the driver folder that was created after you ran the file, you will see support for the hardware ID you posted in one of the setup information files...a partial copy and paste below...

[Manufacturer]
%ManufacturerName% = PCSC,NTamd64

[PCSC.NTamd64]
%PCSC_Device_Driver_Desc% = NXPProximityPCSCDrv, ROOT\NXPProximityPCSCDrv
%PCSC_Device_Driver_Desc% = NXPProximityPCSCDrv, ACPI\NXP6100

So here is what I recommend you try...

Go to the device manager and click on the device needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.

That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp79105.

Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and see if the driver installs that way.

Then restart the PC if it does.

I tried doing it that way but it said it encountered a problem due to the reason of " The parameter is incorrect".. please advice..

Unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions for you to try to get the driver to install.
