After Windows 11 upgraded on July 27, 2023 (updated to Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems) on my HP Envy 360 (which I just purchased in May), several of my Windows apps are now disabled. Apps include calculator, Windows Store (so I can't reload calculator), mail, notepad, calendar. Also, it also disabled some of the HP apps that were preloaded on my computer and wiped out all my personalization settings on my display and browsers (Firefox and Chrome; I don't use Edge). I have to manually reset my personalization settings and browsers every time another update comes out. And then when another minor update comes along, it wipes everything out again, and I have to reset them again. It's very annoying.
Has anyone else had these problems? If so, have you figured out how to fix them?

Hi @BLK-1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you've recently updated your HP Envy x360 to Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems and are now experiencing missing Windows apps, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue.
Restart Your Computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve minor software glitches. Restart your computer and check if the missing apps reappear.
Check for Windows Updates: It's possible that there are additional updates or patches that need to be installed to address this issue. Go to "Settings" > "Windows Update" and check for updates. Install any pending updates and restart your computer if necessary.
Use Windows Search: Use the Windows search feature to look for the missing apps. Press the Windows key on your keyboard, and then start typing the name of the missing app. Windows should display relevant search results, including the missing app. You can then click on it to launch it.
Reset Windows Apps: If the above steps don't work, you can try resetting the Windows apps. To do this:
a. Go to "Settings."
b. Click on "Apps."
c. In the "Apps & features" section, search for the missing app.
d. Click on the app, and then click on the "Advanced options" link.
e. Scroll down and click on the "Reset" button. Follow the prompts to reset the app.
Reinstall Missing Apps: If resetting doesn't work, you can try reinstalling the missing apps. To do this:
a. Go to "Settings."
b. Click on "Apps."
c. In the "Apps & features" section, search for the missing app.
d. Click on the app, and then click on the "Uninstall" button to remove it.
e. Visit the Microsoft Store and search for the app you uninstalled.
f. Click on the app, and then click on the "Install" button to reinstall it.
Create a New User Account: If the above steps don't resolve the issue, you can try creating a new user account. Sometimes, problems with user profiles can cause app issues. Here's how:
a. Go to "Settings."
b. Click on "Accounts."
c. Under "Family & other users," click on "Add account."
d. Follow the prompts to create a new user account.
e. Sign in with the new account and check if the missing apps are visible.
Perform a System Restore: If the problem persists and you believe it started after the Windows update, you can try performing a system restore to a point before the update. This will revert your system to a previous state, including the apps that were installed at that time.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
