Getting error messages on devices and printers page over the laptop image. When I open properties I get this message saying I'm missing a driver, but I don't even know what it is, so I'm hesitant to try to download it! Anyone know what this is?

That device is part of the Intel Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework, which provides system temperature and power utilization information for the system thermal protection to function properly.

I recommend you install the driver for that device.

Here's the problem:  There are usually two instances of that device that appear when a driver is missing because the two devices are installed by two different drivers, and you can't tell the two of them apart.

Here are the links to both drivers:

I'm going to take an educated guess and say that you should try this driver first:

Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Client Driver - Gemini Lake

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp96501-97000/sp96728.exe

If the above driver does not install the device, then this one should:

Intel Chipset Installation Utility and Driver - Sky Lake/Kaby Lake/Braswell/Apollo Lake/Gemini Lake

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp96501-97000/sp96730.exe
